NOWSHERA, 12 July: A team of Chinese experts and investors on Tuesday visited the Rashakai Special Economic Zone of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project to crystallise their country’s investment plans.
CPEC project director Hisan Dawar and Federal Investment Board members accompanied the Chinese experts during the visit and inspected the Economic Zone site in Rashakai, Nowshera.
CPEC Media Celle in a statement said that the Chinese delegation would also hold meetings with government officials, local traders and investors for investment in the Rashakai Economic Zone.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has acquired 2,000 acres of land near the Karnal Sher Interchange on Motorway M-1 for the Rashakai Economic Zone in Nowshera. Fruit, food packaging, textile, stitching, automobile industry, light engineering steel industry, electoral, Information Technology and knitting industries would be built at the Special Economic Zone. More than 0.3 million people would get employment opportunities at the Rashakai SEZ.
